Understanding

We have had the idea of ‘learning’ since childhood. We learned the ABC’s, multiplication tables, etiquette, etc.

Later in life we learn about emotions, empathy, our vocation, and for most folks, that is sufficient. We learn the used words and sayings of a subject, it’s ‘ parlance’, and use them as our only basis for doing our job. They are our only form of expertise.

For some of us, that is not enough.

There is much more than just learning that we can do for any subject and to do that is called ‘understanding’.

Understanding begins to evolve when we step back and notice the full essence of the idioms that we say in a total perspective. Consider an idiom you might say . . .

A preacher might say ‘let us pray’. In just those three words comes the ideas that; the preacher believes in prayer, there is a reason for praying, there is an entity being prayed to, there is some value in the action, it is an action we all can do, we all should do this, this is an appropriate time for this, something positive may be received from this, this is high on the list of all things we could be doing, there may be extra value in doing this collectively, it is part of the preacher’s parlance, and, it is possible not to pray.

Each vocation has similar sayings, but for betterment, the purveyor of these statements should be concerned with their ‘significance’.

Does ‘let us pray’ mean that the preacher has thoroughly researched ALL other possibilities of what he or she could recommend at a given juncture? It should. To suggest signifies much. To suggest nothing also signifies much.

This is the beginning of understanding. To know, not only what your sayings immediately imply, but how much deep thought has been put into each saying as to; where it came from, the validity of the source, the capriciousness of it, are there better ways to convey the message, how would this saying stand up to the scrutiny of the universe?

Understanding means to comprehend ALL the parts and how each may interact with all other possible components.

Types of Actions

There are three types of actions;

1) Perfunctory – those routine, mechanical tasks that we repeat daily

2) Thought – those questions in life which require personal thinking

3) Magic – those problems that just disappear as if by magic.

There is a higher Matrix which has all the perfect answers.

We have three ways of dealing with this Matrix.

We can; 1) ignore it 2) use our human reasoning to try to discover the Infinite messages, or 3) simply allow the Perfection of the Matrix to flow to us on its own.

If we try the second approach it would be similar to transporting food with a tarnished, contaminated pitch fork. Not only would we miss many crucial pieces, those that did arrive may be corrupted in the process.

Perfect answers produce perfect results, as if by Magic.

Wander-ful

We can drift

In a closet, in a room,

In a neighborhood, in a field,

Or when nailed to a floor.

But best is when,

Like in a dream,

We find ourselves floating,

And we find our wings,

And there is an updraft,

And there is time to be away,

And nothing tarnishes our unboundedness.

S p i r i t

There is a force which can give life to venues.

Let’s call it ‘Spirit.’

Spirit changes ‘life’ to ‘LIFE!’

Spirit brings excitement, fun, elevation – and also – Magic.

Teams of marginal ability can soar over their competitors when they are joined in Spirit.

Spirit tunes the imagination and focuses it on unknown positive outcomes.

Spirit creates a super-charged dream world where everything just goes perfectly.

Spirit requires a spark, Magic in the air, hope, happiness . . .

You’ve all experienced it.

Ponder how you might make it happen again – sooner, than later.

Step #3

The Infinite comes to you on a priority basis. Your desire for the Infinite must be greater than the cares of this world or there is no chance for communication.

Moreover, this search for the Infinite is ‘for’ you, but it is not ‘about’ you. Thus, it is NOT your job to ponder your problems and come up with human answers yourself. Quite the opposite! Your mission is to come to the Infinite- empty. No ideas, no questions, no pre-conceived solutions, no problems – nothing.

Silence is the language of the Infinite. Find YOUR silence. Stop your mental chatter. Perhaps with some form of meditation. Find YOUR silence.

The urge is to do everything possible but our human efforts are of no use here. Best, is to realize we can’t overtly hasten this process. It is a time to consider giving up using our resources and instead being led. In all you do, start being ready for Magic to appear. Look for it, and most importantly – listen.

Steps to Freedom

2. Freedom – is all about ‘rules’.

But these rules, are YOUR rules.

Ideas that have come to you, that you WANT to have governing your life.

These rules can be about anything; What you do, what you don’t do, what you eat, what you don’t eat, where your time is spent. what you believe in, what you care most about.

These ideals are extremely special because they ARE you.

They come to you, you don’t bring them into being. These ‘rules’ can and will make your life on earth so wonderful you will not even be able to convey it’s Majesty to friends.

They only appear when your mind is clear enough and quiet enough to accept them.

More tomorrow . . .
