I go to bed at six o’clock in the evening and get up around 2:00 A.M.
The early morning hours bring the Infinite just a little bit closer. The definition of all the things around you yields and gives up its certainty. There is an enticing sense of receptivity, of belonging, of peace.
Remember that Rumi quote, ‘Out beyond the idea of right doing and wrong doing there is a field. I’ll meet you there.’? At 2:00 in the morning there are no ‘right doings and wrong doings’ going on.
No phones ring. No texts are sent. Just our amazing world . . . minus all the distractions. With no interruptions the idea of soaring becomes palpable. You can board the Magic Carpet of your mind and let it take you to mysterious surprises until the sun comes up.
With just a little practice you can shed all your worldly concerns and become super-alive. Those limitations that seem to be sewn into your life can just disappear leaving a matrix of amazingly new possibilities.
Call it the ‘Highest Freedom’. A kid in a candy store. A glass of minty iced-tea in the middle of a desert. The freshness of a new romance. Winning the lottery. A sparkling life epiphany.
Aaaah . . . the Magic of being super-alive.
