Distinguishing the Infinite from the Finite

The Finite objective in starting any new endeavor is: to win.

Do it better, quicker, have more fun, pack as much as possible into the event. Right around the bend is the finish line. Cross it first. Each moment brings you closer to the end.

With the Infinite, the objective is: to keep playing.

It is the duty of the participants to change, to preserve the continuity of the game. The ‘game’ is not the important factor. Playing the game is what matters.

Nobody wins or loses; the focus is on the enjoyment of the game – for as long as possible.

(Tune in tomorrow when we’ll highlight other amazing differences.)
